Hello everyone,
Ok, we are trying our first blog so everyone can enjoy in the next Nine Months and Counting....tick tock tick tock....
Here is our second picture of our little bundle of joy, or as Mike keeps calling him/her..."Pablo the Mexican Jumping Bean."
We went in for our 15 week checkup this morning. Val is putting on just enough pounds, about 2lbs a week. She's giggling, cause she's never weighed over 100lbs before and the doctor wants her to get to 125 by birth. HA...Val laughed cause that's 1/4 of her weight! heheheh. But she's got an amazing glow to her right now that takes my breath away! My pretty little penguin!
We have been reading a couple books. Val read "What to Expect When You're Expecting"...which gave us a overview on all the changes that Val's going through. I'm reading "Be Prepared: a practical handbook for new dads." Its like a cubscouts guide to babies. Funniest thing is it tells you what no one else will. Like when the baby's born, it will be hairy, like a little Sasquash! They say that the hair will fall off, but hey, we could be on the next cover of The Enquirer as the HAIRY DOG CHILD of Texas! hehehehe
But we are taking in as much info and advice from family and friends, but I'm sure we have A LOT more to learn, and most of it will not come from a book.
Ok, so this is our first post, and I hope to keep this going. We want to share in our happiness and all the fun things we are going through!
